IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS from Special Assistant to Captain Oscar Diggs:
1. Our next meeting is Wednesday 1/22/14 at 7:30PM. Captains meetings are MANDATORY at this point in our planning. We are covering extremely important items such as security, hiring bands, route, etc. In order for our parade to run smoothly and safely, all krewes must be on the same page. All krewes must sent a captain or a representative from the krewe to all future meetings. Please call Renee 504-909-5545 with any questions or concerns.
2. KREWEDELUSION FLOATS Float Captain Justin is working a full time job and then working on our floats weekday evenings 7-10PM and all day Saturdays. We only have 3 more weeks to get floats parade ready. Based on rough estimates of work hours and membership numbers - each krewedelusion marcher should contribute 30 minutes or more to the float. Multiply that by the number of members you have in your inner-krewe to determine how many hours your krewe should contribute. Unfortunately, the dreaded rule of parading is that 10% of the people do 90% of the work. BE the 10%!!! SO: A krewe of 12 should work at least 6 hours on the floats. PLEASE rally your members to get to the DEN (warehouse behind Mardi Gras Zone) as much as possible. Call Justin to confirm 504-400-2284.
3. Bands If you have a particular band that you want, check availability with them; then forward contact info to this email ASAP. I must have a contract signed for insurance. I have booked the Young Pin Stripe Brass Band. Any inner-krewe of 12+ is welcome to claim them Let me know!
